DESCRIPTION

The engine room No. 2 relay block receives headlight HI switch information from the combination switch, and turns on the headlights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER
  1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the headlight assembly illuminates.

    Engine room No. 2 relay block:

    OK:
    Headlight assembly illuminates.

PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

2.INSPECT FUSE (H-LP UPR, FR CTRL-B)
  1. Remove the FR CTRL-B fuse from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

  1. Remove the H-LP UPR fuse from the engine room No. 2 junction block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

    Standard resistance:
    Below 1 Ω



NG
REPLACE FUSE
OK


3.REPLACE HEADLIGHT NO. 1 BULB (RH OR LH)
  1. Temporarily replace the headlight No. 1 bulb with a new or normally functioning one.

  1. Check that the bulb illuminates.

    OK:
    Headlight No. 1 bulb illuminates.

4.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK - BATTERY)

  1. Disconnect the 2E junction block connector.

  1. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    2E-2 - Body ground
    10 to 14 V

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK


5.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ENGINE ROOM NO. 2 JUNCTION BLOCK - BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the 2G junction block connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    2G-13 - Body ground
    Below 1 Ω
    2G-12 - Body ground
    Below 1 Ω
