1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the seat cushion's 2 front hooks from the vehicle body.

    NOTICE:
    Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.


    1. Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to detach the hook.

    2. Repeat for the other hook.

  1. Detach the seat cushion's 2 rear hooks from the seatback.

  1. Remove the seat cushion.



3. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT OUTER ANCHOR

  1. Remove the bolt and anchor.



4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH


5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the 2 rear seat covers.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw to open the cap of the 3 rear seat shoulder belt guides.

  1. Remove the bolt and floor anchor part.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

  1. Remove the seatback.



6. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

  1. Disconnect the connector labeled A.

  1. Remove the bolt and the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH labeled B.



7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.



8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH

HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.



9. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER

HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.



10. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the belt guide LH.

    HINT:
    Use the same procedures described for the RH side.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the belt guide center.

  1. Detach the clip and remove the panel.



11. REMOVE NO.2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)

  1. Detach the 5 claws and 3 clips.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the panel.



12. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the guide part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the guide part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH.

  1. Detach the clip and 5 claws.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the package tray trim panel.



13. REMOVE REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the rear room light from the vehicle body.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the connector from the room light.



14. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY

  1. w/o Sliding roof:
    Remove the assist grip.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

      HINT:
      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Detach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration.

      HINT:
      Repeat this for the other side and remove the assist grip.

  1. w/ Sliding roof:
    Remove the assist grip.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

      HINT:
      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Detach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration.

      HINT:
      Repeat this for the other side and remove the assist grip.



15. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
It is not necessary to completely remove the roof headlining. Slightly lower the rear section of the roof headlining so that the back window glass can be removed (Click here).


16. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CENTER LH

  1. Put protective tape around the moulding.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 16 clips and remove the moulding.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not remove the clips from the vehicle body.
    2. If the clips are damaged or removed accidentally, replace them.



17. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CENTER RH

  1. Put protective tape around the moulding.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 16 clips and remove the moulding.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not remove the clips from the vehicle body.
    2. If the clips are damaged or removed accidentally, replace them.



18. REMOVE BACK WINDOW MOULDING

  1. Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body with the knife.

  1. Remove the remaining moulding.

    HINT:
    Make a partial cut in the moulding. Then pull and remove it by hand.



19. REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS

  1. Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.

  1. From the interior, insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and glass as shown in the illustration.

  1. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    NOTICE:
    1. When separating the glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicle's paint or interior/exterior ornaments.
    2. To prevent the instrument panel from being scratched when removing the glass, place a plastic sheet between the piano wire and instrument panel.

  1. Place matchmarks over the glass and vehicle body on the locations indicated in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Matchmarks do not need to be placed if the glass is not going to be reused.

  1. Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the glass.

    NOTICE:
    Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when cutting through the adhesive.

  1. Disengage the stoppers.

  1. Using suction cups, remove the glass.



20. CLEAN BACK WINDOW GLASS

  1. Using a scraper, remove the damaged stoppers and adhesive sticking to the glass.

  1. Clean the outer edges of the glass with white gasoline.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not touch the glass surface after cleaning it.
    2. Even if using new glass, clean it with white gasoline.



21. CLEAN VEHICLE BODY
  1. Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.

    1. On the contact surface of the vehicle body, use a knife to cut away excess adhesive as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:
      Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.

      NOTICE:
      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with cleaner.

      HINT:
      Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
