1. INSPECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. Check the ELR.

    1. When the inclination of the retractor is 15° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.
      If the operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assembly.

  1. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system.

    NOTICE:
    The check should be performed with the outer belt installed.


    1. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically start to retract.

    2. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again.
      If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt assembly.

  1. Check the tension reducer operation.

    1. Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the tension reducer connector and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2.

    2. Check that an operating sound is heard when the magnetized solenoid is attracting the plunger.

    3. Pull out the seat belt and let it retract. Listen to the operating sound.

    4. Pull out the seat belt again, disconnect the battery's negative (-) lead and let it retract. Listen to the operating sound again and check that the operating sound volume has increased.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the outer belt assembly.



2. INSPECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

  1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    V15-2 - V15-3
    		Seat belt is fastened
    		Below 1 Ω
    V15-2 - V15-3
    		Seat belt is unfastened
    		1 MΩ or higher

    If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.



3. INSPECT REAR SEAT WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Measure the resistance of the buckle switch.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    W15-2 - W15-3
    		Seat belt is fastened
    		Below 1 Ω
    W15-2 - W15-3
    		Seat belt is unfastened
    		1 MΩ or higher

    If the result is not as specified, replace the inner belt assembly.
