SEAT POSITION SENSOR > INSTALLATION

1. Check that the engine switch is off.
   

2. Check that the negative battery (-) terminal is disconnected.
   

   CAUTION:

   After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

3. Using a feeler gauge 1 mm (0.039 in.), install the seat position sensor.
   

   NOTICE:

   1. If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.
      
   2. When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
      

   HINT:

   Be sure that a clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.023 in.) to 1.4 mm (0.055 in.).

4. Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), tighten the "torx" screw to install the seat position sensor.
   

   Torque:

   8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

5. Make sure that a clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.023 in.) to1.4 mm (0.055 in.).
   

6. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position sensor.
   

7. Connect the connector.
   

8. Install the seat slide position sensor protector to the seat position sensor.
   

1. Place the seat in the cabin.
   

2. Connect the connectors under the seat.
   

3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
   

4. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.
   

5. Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
   

   Torque:

   36.8 N*m{ 375 kgf*cm , 27 ft.*lbf }

   HINT:

   Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

6. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
   

7. Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
   

   Torque:

   36.8 N*m{ 375 kgf*cm , 27 ft.*lbf }

   HINT:

   Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

1. Move the seat using the power seat switch knob so that the seat belt anchor bolt is revealed.
   

2. Install the front seat outer belt anchor with the bolt.
   

   Torque:

   42 N*m{ 428 kgf*cm , 31 ft.*lbf }

3. Install the seat belt anchor cover cap.
   

4. Install the front seat belt hole cover.
   

1. Check the power seat operation.
   

2. Check the seat heater operation (with seat heater).
   
   

   1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      

   2. Turn the seat heater switch ON.
      

   3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
