1. REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

  1. With the rear seat airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check including the following:

    1. Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the rear seat airbag assembly.



2. REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

  1. With the rear seat airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the rear seat airbag assembly with a new one:

    1. Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the rear seat airbag assembly.
    2. Cracks or other damage to the connector.

    CAUTION:
    For removal and installation procedures of the rear seat airbag assembly. Be sure to follow the correct procedure.
