OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR > REMOVAL

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  1. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the trim lower cover.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Detach the 9 clips labeled A, and remove the trim together with the weather strip.

  1. Detach the 4 clips labeled B to separate the weatherstrip and trim.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.



4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER LH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 6 clips and remove the trim cover.



5. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 clips and garnish.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



6. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the clip.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and mirror.



7. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and 2 clips.

  1. Remove the mirror.

    HINT:
    Apply protective tape to the mirror body.

  1. Using a small screwdriver, disconnect the connectors.



8. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR VISOR

  1. Remove the 4 screws and mirror visor.



9. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the mirror light.



10. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR COVER

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and 3 clips.

  1. Remove the mirror cover.
