DESCRIPTION

The signal check circuit detects any trouble in the sensor or switch signal which cannot be detected by the DTC check.
Connecting terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 starts the check.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the absorber control ECU, check the acceleration sensor assembly signal after replacement (Click here).

HINT:
Check the condition of each related circuit connector before troubleshooting (Click here).

1.INSPECT TERMINAL VOLTAGE (DLC3 TS TERMINAL)

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    L16-12 (TS) -
    L16-4 (CG)
    Engine switch on (IG)
    10 to 14 V

  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    L16-4 (CG) - Body ground
    Below 1 Ω



NG
Go to step 4

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU TO DLC3)

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    A13-25 (TS) - L16-12 (TS)
    Below 1 Ω
    L16-12 (TS) - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher

3.CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
  1. Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (Click here).

    10 kΩ or higher
