REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM > Rear Sunshade Shift-Linked Function does not Operate When Shift Lever is Moved to R Position

for Preparation Click here

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

When the engine switch is on (IG) and the rear sunshade is raised, moving the shift lever to R causes the PNP switch to send a reverse-linked signal to the ECM. Then the ECM sends the signal through the multiplex communication line to the multiplex network rear ECU, which sends the signal to the rear sunshade relay. The relay then lowers the rear sunshade.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (REVERSE SIGNAL CONTROL)
  1. Make sure that the rear sunshade lowers.

  1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the rear sunshade can be lowered.

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NO. 1 JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - RELAY)
E106720E05
  1. Disconnect the W24 relay connector.

  1. Disconnect the LC junction block connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    W24-2 (REV) - LC-27 (REV)
    Below 1 Ω
