DTC B2002 Open in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives information from the seat belt control ECU (distance control ECU) through CAN communication and tightens the seat by operating the motor in the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

CAUTION:

The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may activate the pretensioner.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Active Test must be performed (Click here).

1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)

Turn the engine switch off.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Disconnect the W30 ECU connector.

Disconnect the V8 belt connector.

Using a service wire, connect V8-1 and V8-2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH .
NOTICE:
Do not forcibly insert a service wire into the terminals of the connector.

Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK

2.INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

Measure the resistance of the connector.
Standard resistance:

REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
