DTC    B2007    Open in Seat Belt Motor LH Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives information from the seat belt control ECU (distance control ECU) through CAN communication and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor in the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

CAUTION:
The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly LH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may activate the pretensioner.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Active Test must be performed (Click here).

1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)

  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  1. Disconnect the W30 ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the W6 belt connector.

  1. Using a service wire, connect W6-1 and W6-2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly LH .

    NOTICE:
    Do not forcibly insert a service wire into the terminals of the connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard resistance::
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    W30-2 (MOR+) - W30-11 (MOR-)
    Always
    Below 1 Ω
