DTC    B2059    Vehicle Speed Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU uses the combination meter to send vehicle speed information to the ECM. The ECM and the ABS & traction actuator assembly use CAN communication to send vehicle speed information to the seat belt control ECU. This DTC is output when the difference between the vehicle speed information from the ECM and the ABS & traction actuator assembly is more than the specified value.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Active Test must be performed (Click here).

1.READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER

  1. Operate the intelligent tester according to the steps on the display and select the "Data List".

    Combination meter:

    Item

    		Vehicle speed / Min: 0 km/h (0 mph), Max: 255 km/h (158 mph)
    		Almost same as actual vehicle speed (when driving)

Vehicle speed displayed on the tester is almost the same as the actual vehicle speed.

2.CHECK DTC (MALFUNCTION IN CAN COMMUNICATION WITH ECM)

  1. Delete the DTC (Click here).

  1. Check that DTC U0100 is not output.

    OK:
    DTC U0100 is not output.

REPLACE ECM
OK


3.CHECK DTC (MALFUNCTION IN CAN COMMUNICATION WITH ABS & TRACTION CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU))

  1. Delete the DTC (Click here).

  1. Check that DTC U0073, U0122 or U0126 is not output.

    OK:
    DTC U0073, U0122 or U0126 is not output.

REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

4.CHECK DTC (MALFUNCTION IN CAN COMMUNICATION WITH CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DISTANCE CONTROL ECU))

  1. Delete the DTC (Click here).

  1. Check that DTC U1101 is not output.

    OK:
    DTC U1101 is not output.
