REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR > REPLACEMENT

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


2. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Turn back the upper part of the luggage compartment trim cover inner RH to remove the acceleration sensor assembly.

  1. Disconnect the acceleration sensor connector.

  1. Remove the bolt and the acceleration sensor assembly.



3. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR

  1. Remove the nut and acceleration sensor from the bracket.



4. INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR

  1. Install the acceleration sensor to the bracket with the nut.

    Torque:
    7.8 N*m{ 80 kgf*cm , 69 in.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    1. Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
    2. Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.



5. INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the acceleration sensor assembly with the bolt.

    Torque:
    8.5 N*m{ 87 kgf*cm , 75 in.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    1. Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.
    2. Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

  1. Connect the acceleration sensor connector.

  1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover inner RH.



6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


7. INSPECT ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM

8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal (Click here).
