HINT:
  1. Centering bolts are used to mount the hood hinge and hood lock. The hood and hood lock cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts (with washers) when making adjustments.
  2. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Click here).

1. ADJUST HOOD

    B106658
  1. Adjust the hood's position.

    1. Loosen the hood's 4 hinge bolts.

    2. Move the hood and adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender.

    3. Tighten the hood's 4 hinge bolts after the adjustment.

      Torque:
      13 N*m{ 134 kgf*cm , 10 ft.*lbf }

    B106659
  1. Adjust the cushion rubber so that the height of the hood and fender are aligned.

    HINT:
    Raise or lower the hood's front end by turning the cushion rubber.

  1. Adjust the hood lock.

    1. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:
      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

    2. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Disconnect the connector.

    3. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Remove the 3 bolts and millimeter wave radar sensor.

    7. Adjust the hood lock position so that the striker can enter it smoothly.

    8. Tighten the bolts and nut after the adjustment.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

    9. Install a new cap.

    10. B108024
    11. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Install the millimeter wave radar sensor with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m{ 56 kgf*cm , 49 in.*lbf }

    12. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Connect the connector.

    13. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    14. w/ Millimeter wave radar sensor:
      Perform initialization (Click here).

      NOTICE:
      Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
