DESCRIPTION

  1. If the manual UP/DOWN function does not operate, there may be a malfunction in the front multiplex network door ECU, multiplex network master switch, power window regulator motor or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (POWER WINDOW UP/DOWN)
  1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check the power window.

    Multiplex network master switch assembly:

CAUTION:
Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes parts to move.

REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

2.READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (MASTER SWITCH)
  1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the power window master switch.

3.INSPECT FUSE (FR DOOR LH, LH-IG, AM2, D/C CUT, MPX-B)
  1. Remove the FR DOOR LH, LH-IG fuses from the cowl side junction block LH.

  1. Remove the AM1 fuse from the cowl side junction block RH.

  1. Remove the MPX-B and D/C CUT fuses from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

    Standard:
    Below 1 Ω

4.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MOTOR ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE))

  1. Disconnect the S5*1 or R9*2 switch connector.

  1. Disconnect the O5*1 or N5*2 motor connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    RHD:
    Tester Connection

    Below 1 Ω
    S5-11 (DDN) - O5-1 (D)
    Below 1 Ω

  1. Disconnect the O3*1 or N4*2 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard voltage:

8.INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)

  1. Remove the motor.

  1. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

    NOTICE:
    Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.

  1. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

    OK:

    Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

9.CHECK OPERATION OF MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
  1. Temporarily replace the multiplex network master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one.

  1. Check that the power window operates normally.

    OK:
    Power window operates normally.
