INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (STEERING CONTROL ECU SUB BUS LINE)
  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  1. Disconnect the steering control ECU (L70).

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Value
    L70-9 (CANH) - L70-20 (CANL)
    Engine switch off
    54 to 69 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, PGND)
  1. Reconnect the steering control ECU connector (L70).

  1. Disconnect the steering control ECU connector (A42).

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Value
    A42-7 (PGND) - Body ground
    Always
    Below 1 Ω

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Value
    A42-3 (IG) - Body ground
    Engine switch on (IG)
    10 to 14 V
