HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 10 clips and cover.



3. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and switch from the luggage compartment door.



4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE

  1. Remove the 3 nuts.

  1. Detach the 7 clips and remove the garnish.



5. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the screw and license plate light from the luggage compartment door.



6. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Remove the 2 clips and retainer from the luggage component door.
