DESCRIPTION

  1. The absorber control ECU inputs the signals from the steering control ECU via CAN communication.
  2. The fail-safe function prohibits roll posture control if any malfunction occurs in the steering control ECU (Click here).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC

  1. Clear the DTC (Click here).

  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) again and check that no CAN communication system DTC is output.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Drive the vehicle and turn the steering wheel to the right and left at the speed of 35 km/h (24 mph) to check that a DTC is output (Click here).
