DESCRIPTION

When the power luggage door open switch is turned ON, the certification ECU uses the luggage electrical key antenna (outer) and antenna to output a request signal to the outside of the vehicle for a distance of approximately 1.0 m (3.3 ft.) from the luggage compartment door. A key near the luggage compartment door detects this request and transmits its ID code. The entry door control receiver receives the ID code and sends this ID code to the certification ECU. The certification ECU checks if the ID code is valid. When the ID code is valid, the certification ECU sends a luggage compartment door open signal to the cowl side junction block LH (cowl side junction block ECU LH) using the multiplex communication line and stops outputting request signals. The luggage room junction block then unlocks the luggage compartment door.

5.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST (LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA (OUTER))

  1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the antenna (outer) operates.

7.CHECK OPERATION OF CERTIFICATION ECU ASSEMBLY

  1. After replacing the certification ECU assembly with a normal one, check that the entry luggage compartment door lock function operates normally.

  1. Disconnect the V28 ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the V32 antenna connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection

    		Below 1 Ω
    V28-32 (CG8B) - V32-2 (CLGB)
    		Below 1 Ω

9.CHECK INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA

  1. Carry the key into the vehicle.

  1. Replace the indoor electrical key antenna with a new one.

  1. Depress the brake pedal and check that the engine switch indicator illuminates in green.

    OK:
    Engine switch indicator illuminates in green.
