POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM > Front Passenger Side Power Window Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch

DESCRIPTION

  1. If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following.
  1. The recorded power window fully closed position, which is stored in the multiplex network switch, was erased as a result of: 1) a fuse or relay related to the passenger side power window being replaced; or 2) the battery cable and the switch's connector being disconnected.
  2. The switch has a malfunction.
  3. The pulse sensors in the passenger side power window regulator motor have a malfunction.
  4. The wiring between the switch and the passenger side power window regulator motor is open or short.

1.CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)
  1. Check if the manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    OK:
    Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

2.CHECK LIGHT OF MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) (AUTO LIGHT)

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Operate the switch for 2 seconds or more.



  1. Check the blinking pattern of the AUTO light. Compare the blinking pattern with the illustration below.

  1. Check that the power window operates normally after it is reset.

    OK:
    Power window operates normally.

4.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) - FRONT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE))

  1. Disconnect the R6*1 or S9*2 switch connector.

  1. Disconnect the N5*1 or O5*2 power window motor connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    LHD:
