DESCRIPTION

Signals of the front power seat switch are monitored by the position control ECU & switch assembly. The position control ECU & switch assembly then activates the driver and passenger side motors.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT FUSE (FR P/SEAT LH, FR P/SEAT RH, D/C CUT, MPX-B)
  1. Remove the FR P/SEAT LH fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.

  1. Remove the FR P/SEAT RH fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.

  1. Remove the D/C CUT and MPX-B fuses from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

    Standard resistance:
    Below 1 Ω

REPLACE FUSE
OK


2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the c6, c7, d7 and d8 switch connectors.

  1. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard voltage:
    LH seat:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    d8-5 (+B) - Body ground
    Always
    10 to 14 V
    d7-8 (SYSB) - Body ground
    Always
    10 to 14 V
    RH seat:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    c6-5 (+B) - Body ground
    Always
    10 to 14 V
    c7-8 (SYSB) - Body ground
    Always
    10 to 14 V


    Standard resistance:
    LH seat:
