1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

  1. Remove the floor mat.



3. REMOVE TOOL BOX

  1. Remove the tool box.



4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 TRIM HOOK

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 hooks.



5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

  1. Remove the 3 clips labeled A.

  1. Detach the 4 clips to remove the finish plate.



6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT

  1. Detach the hook.

  1. Remove the rope hook.

  1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the trim cover.



7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and trim cover.



8. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER

  1. Turn the cable counterclockwise and remove the cable from the retainer.

  1. Turn the lock retainer clockwise and remove the lock retainer.



9. REMOVE FUEL LID OPENER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the nut and motor.
