1. INSPECT REAR NO. 2 UPPER CONTROL ARM

  1. Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.

  1. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the 5th turn.

    Turning torque:
    3.4 N*m (35 kgf*cm, 2.5 ft*lbf)
    If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear No.2 upper control arm with a new one.

  1. Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
