SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

When the reverse signal is sent from the ECM through the multiplex communication line to the front multiplex network door ECU LH, the ECU activates the outer rear view mirror assembly LH and RH reverse shift-linked function.

HINT:
The reverse shift-linked function will not occur when the mirror master switch is in the neutral position (OFF).


INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY FUNCTION (MIRROR MASTER SWITCH FUNCTION)

  1. Check that the outer rear view mirror assembly LH and RH can be moved using the mirror master switch of the integration control and panel assembly.

    OK:
    Outer rear view mirror assembly LH and RH can be moved using mirror master switch of integration control and panel assembly.

2.CHECK OPERATION OF SHIFT INDICATOR

  1. Check that the shift indicator of the combination meter operates normally.

  1. Check if the malfunction disappears when a normally functioning front multiplex network door ECU.
