SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

When the seat memory M1, M2 or M3 switch is pressed, the position control ECU (driver side) memory's driver and passenger seat mirror position signal is sent through the multiplex communication line to the front multiplex network door ECU LH and RH. The front multiplex network door ECU LH and RH then activate the mirror control motors to move the mirrors to the previously recorded positions.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK OUTER MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH FUNCTION (POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION)
  1. Check that the mirror surface positions of the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using the mirror control switch of the integration control and panel assembly.

    OK:
Mirror surface positions of the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using the mirror control switch of the integration control and panel assembly.

5.INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (MIRROR POSITION SENSOR)
  1. Disconnect the i1 or j1 mirror connector.

  1. Apply battery and dry cell battery voltage to the terminals as shown in the table below.

  1. Measure the voltage while the mirror moves between the fully downward and fully upward positions.
