| ||||
| OK | |
| 2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS |
![]() |
Turn the engine switch off.
Disconnect the connectors from the steering control ECU and the steering angle sensor.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
| Tester connection | Specified condition |
| L70-10 (SS1-) - L19-7 (SS1-) | Below 1 Ω |
| L70-19 (SS1+) - L19-8 (SS1+) | Below 1 Ω |
| L70-19 (SS1+) - Body ground | 10 kΩ or higher |
| L70-10 (SS1-) - Body ground | 10 kΩ or higher |
| L70-19 (SS1+) - L70-10 (SS1-) | 1 kΩ or higher |
|
| ||||
| OK | |
| 3.CHECK STEERING ANGLE SENSOR |
![]() |
Connect the connector to the steering angle sensor.
Adjust the shift lever to neutral.
Jack up the vehicle.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Check the signal waveform according to the condition in the table below.
| Tester connection | Condition | Specified condition |
| L70-19 (SS1+) - L70-10 (SS1-) | Engine switch on (IG), rotate steering wheel slowly | Pulse generation (0 ←→ 5 V) |
|
