DESCRIPTION

If the steering control ECU detects an internal malfunction, it will turn the master warning light on, store DTCs C15B4/71, and stop VGRS operation.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK MASTER WARNING LIGHT

  1. Check the conditions under which the master warning light comes on.

    Result:
    The engine stalled, battery voltage is too low, or the steering control ECU connector is disconnected.

REPLACE STEERING CONTROL ECU

2.CLEAR DTC

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

3.PERFORM VGRS SYSTEM CALIBRATION

  1. Perform VGRS system calibration (Click here).

4.CHECK DTC

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC is not output.
