DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU communicates with the steering control (VGRS) ECU via CAN communication.
If a malfunction in the steering (VGRS) control system is detected, cooperative control of the steering is prohibited by the fail-safe function.

When either of the following is detected:
  1. The VGRS system fail signal continues to be output for 5 seconds or more.
  2. When the VGRS relative angle detection system fail signal continues to be output for 5 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration (Click here).

1.CHECK DTC FOR VGRS CONTROL SYSTEM

  1. Clear the DTC (Click here).

  1. Check for the DTC (Click here).

    Result:

    Condition
    		Proceed To
    DTC (VGRS control system) is not output
    		A
    DTC (VGRS control system) is output
    		B (Click here)

2.RECONFIRM DTC

  1. Clear the DTC (Click here).

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Check if the same DTC is recorded (Click here).

    Result:

    Condition
    		Proceed To
    DTC (C1289/41) is not output
    		A
    DTC (C1289/41) is output
    		B
