DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU communicates with the power steering (EPS) ECU via CAN communication.
If a malfunction in the electric power steering (EPS) control system is detected, cooperative control of the steering is prohibited by the fail-safe function.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC FOR EPS CONTROL SYSTEM

  1. Clear the DTC (Click here).

  1. Check the DTC (Click here).

    Result:

    Condition
    		Proceed To
    DTC (EPS control system) is not output
    		A
    DTC (EPS control system) is output
    		B (Click here)

2.RECONFIRM DTC

  1. Clear the DTC (Click here).

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Check if the same DTC is recorded (Click here).

    Result:

    		A
    DTC (C1304/27) is output
    		B
