1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL


2. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL

  1. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), remove the differential filler plug and gasket.

  1. Using a hexagon wrench (10 mm), remove the differential drain plug and gasket, and drain the oil.



3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

4. REMOVE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(Click here)


5. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING LH

  1. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear stabilizer link assembly and the load sensing valve sensor bracket from the rear No.2 suspension arm.

  1. Remove the bolt and nut, and separate the rear shock absorber with coil spring from the rear No.2 suspension arm assembly



6. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING RH

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH

  1. Remove the 2 screws and side member cover LH.



8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



9. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY LH

10. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



11. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR NO.2

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and differential support protector No.2 from the suspension member brace.



12. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR NO.1

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



13. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE LH

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and suspension member brace.



14. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE RH

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



15. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.3

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, and separate the parking brake cable No.3.



16. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.2

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



17. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using SST, remove the rear drive shaft assembly.

    09520-01010  
    09520-24010   (09520-32040)

    NOTICE:
    1. Be careful not to damage the oil seal, inboard joint boot and drive shaft dust cover.
    2. Be careful not to drop the drive shaft assembly.



18. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.



19. DISCONNECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR REAR LH

  1. Disconnect the height control sensor connector.

  1. Remove the clamp from the rear suspension member.



20. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER ASSEMBLY

  1. Support the rear suspension member with a jack.

    HINT:
    Remove the rear suspension member along with the differential carrier assembly rear.

  1. Remove the 8 bolts, 2 rear suspension member stoppers, 2 differential support member stoppers and rear suspension member stopper lowers from the rear suspension member.

  1. Lower the jack slowly and remove the rear suspension member with the differential carrier assembly rear.



21. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a hexagon wrench (12 mm), remove the 3 bolts.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 rear differential mount stopper uppers, 2 differential mount stopper lowers and rear differential carrier assembly.
