| 1. INSPECT WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY |
The valve opening temperature is marked on the water inlet sub-assembly.
Submerge the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly, and then gradually heat the water.
Check the valve opening temperature.
- Valve opening temperature:
- 80 to 84°C (176 to 183°F)
- HINT:
- The valve opening temperature is stamped on the water inlet with thermostat.
Check the valve lift.
- Valve lift:
- 8.0 mm (0.315 in.) or more at 95°C (203°F)
- HINT:
- If the valve lift value is not as specified, replace the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
When the temperature of the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly drops below 77°C, check that the valve is fully closed.
- HINT:
- If the valve is not fully closed, replace the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
