REASSEMBLY

Removal / installation


1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL

  1. D027961E02
    Using SST and a hammer, install a new oil seal.
    SST
    09350-30020   (09351-32140)

    HINT:
    The oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the pump body.

  1. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.


2. FIX FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Place the oil pump body on the torque converter clutch.


3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

  1. D027959
    Coat the driven gear with ATF.

  1. Install the driven gear to the oil pump body.


4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR

  1. D027958
    Coat the drive gear with ATF.

  1. Install the drive gear to the oil pump body.


5. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

  1. D027963
    Coat a new O-ring with ATF.

  1. Install the O-ring to the oil pump body.


6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  1. C122836
    Align the stator shaft with each bolt hole.

  1. Install the 14 hexagon bolts.

    Torque:
    11 N*m{ 112 kgf*cm , 8 ft.*lbf }


7. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING

  1. C108579
    Coat 3 new oil seal rings with ATF.

  1. Squeeze the ends of the 3 oil seal rings so that the gap distance becomes 8 mm or less, and then install them to the stator shaft groove.

    NOTICE:
    Do not expand the ring ends excessively.

    HINT:
    After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.


8. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION

  1. C108581
    Make sure that the drive gear rotates smoothly.

  1. Remove the oil pump assembly from the torque converter.


9. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

  1. D027950
    Coat a new O-ring with ATF.

  1. Install the O-ring to the oil pump assembly.
