REMOVAL

Removal / installation


1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (Click here).


2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat)

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

  1. B126077
    Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front seat track cover rear outer LH.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat)

5. REMOVE FRONT REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat)

  1. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide handle.

  1. B123511
    Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear seat outer track bracket cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


6. REMOVE FRONT REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER LH (for Power Seat)

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

  1. B128141
    Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.

  1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

  1. B128146
    Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent the airbag and seat belt pretensioner from deploying (Click here).

  1. Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the seat.


8. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)

  1. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide handle.

    Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


9. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)

  1. B123510
    Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the front outer seat track bracket cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


10. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)

  1. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide handle.

    Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear seat outer track bracket cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


11. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER (for Manual Seat)

  1. B123512
    Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)

  1. Move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position by operating the slide handle.

  1. B123513
    Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.

  1. Move the front seat assembly fully forward by operating the slide handle.

  1. B123514
    Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.

  1. Move the front seat assembly to the center position and adjust the seatback to the vertical position by operating the slide and reclining adjuster release handle.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and clamp.

  1. Remove the front seat assembly.

    NOTICE:
    When removing the passenger side front seat assembly, be careful not to step on the yaw rate sensor mounted on the floor under the seat.


13. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB (for Manual Seat)

  1. B123739
    Using a screwdriver, detach the knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


14. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Manual Seat)

  1. B126081
    Remove the snap ring and the vertical seat adjuster knob.


15. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Manual Seat)

  1. B126082
    Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE (for Manual Seat)

  1. B126084
    Lift the reclining adjuster release handle.

  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Manual Seat)

  1. B126693
    Remove the screw.

  1. Disengage the claw and clamp and remove the seat cushion shield.


18. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Power Seat)

  1. C122430E01
    Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), remove the "torx" screw and seat position sensor with sensor protector.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. C108775E01
    Separate the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position sensor.


19. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Manual Seat)

  1. C122458E01
    Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), remove the "torx" screw and seat position sensor with sensor protector.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. C108775E01
    Separate the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position sensor.
