HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshooting

HINT:
  1. Use these procedures to troubleshoot the pre-crash safety system.
  2. The intelligent tester should be used in steps 2, 3, 4 and 6.

    2.CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.

      Result:
      DTC Condition
      		 Proceed to
      DTC is not output
      		 A
      DTC is output
      		 B

    3.CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

    1. Use the intelligent tester to check for normally functioning of CAN communication system.

      1. Perform bus check (Communication malfunctioning DTC).

      2. Perform bus check (Communication Bus check).

        Result:
        DTC Condition
        		 Proceed to
        DTC is not output
        		 A
        DTC is output
        		 B

    4.CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Check for DTCs.

      1. Record the DTCs.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Recheck for DTCs.

      1. Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again (Click here).

        Result:
        DTC Condition
        		 Proceed to
        DTC is not output
        		 A
        DTC is output
        		 B
        No DTC is output, and malfunction can not be duplicate or checked
        		 C

    5.PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

    1. If the result is not listed in the problem symptoms table proceed to A.

    2. If the result is listed in the problem symptoms table proceed to B.
