REMOVAL
Removal / installation
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are the LH side.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
| 1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL |
| 2. DISCONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR |
Disconnect the front speed sensor connector to the front speed sensor.

| 3. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY |
Remove the No. 1 caliper plates from the brake caliper.

- NOTICE:
- Use wire or equivalent to prevent the brake caliper from hanging down by the flexible hose.
| 4. REMOVE FRONT DISC |
Put matchmarks on the disc and the axle hub.

Remove the front disc.
| 5. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 bolts, front axle hub sub-assembly and front disc brake dust cover.

| 6. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR |
Install the 3 hub nuts to the hub bolt. Placing an aluminum plate below the hub and bearing assembly, hold them in a vise.
- NOTICE:
- Replace the hub and bearing assembly if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.
Using SST, remove the front speed sensor from the front axle hub.

- NOTICE:
- Keep the sensor away from magnets.
- Pull the front speed sensor off straight, taking care not to make contact with the speed sensor rotor.
- If the speed sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the hub and bearing assembly.
- Do not scratch the area where the speed sensor contacts the hub and bearing assembly.
- Do not attach foreign matter to the speed sensor rotor.
- Keep the sensor away from magnets.
