REMOVAL

Removal / installation

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

2. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER

3. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH

4. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH

5. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

    Remove the 3 bolts and 3 rope hook assemblies.


6. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

    Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

  1. Disengage the 4 clips and remove the rear luggage compartment trim cover.


7. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. B125537
    Disengage the claw and disconnect the No. 2 room light assembly.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 2 room light assembly.


8. REMOVE ROPE HOOK

    Remove the 2 rope hooks.


9. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

    Remove the 3 luggage compartment trim hooks as shown in the illustration.

    Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

  1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the front luggage compartment trim cover.


10. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

  1. B125541
    Remove the screw and No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.


11. REMOVE SIDE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

  1. B125542
    Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and side luggage compartment trim cover LH.


12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
  1. As much as possible avoid touching the stroke portions of the rod to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinders while servicing.
  2. Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.
  3. Do not apply any load to the cylinders in the horizontal direction in order to prevent the rod from being deformed.

    Using a screwdriver, raise the claws on the bracket of the luggage compartment door support.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the stop ring on the ball joint along its groove.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disengage the luggage compartment door support at the ball joint and the pin.

    NOTICE:
    Remove the luggage compartment door support assembly while supporting the luggage compartment door with hands.
