INSPECT OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK (PERSONAL LIGHT)

  1. E119976E01
    Disconnect the R5 connector from the personal light.

  1. Measure the resistance of the connector.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		 Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    R5-18 (GND3) - Body ground
    		 Always
    		 Below 1 Ω

  1. Measure the voltage of the connector.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		 Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    R5-1 (+B) - Body ground
    		 Always
    		 10 to 14 V

    If the result is not as specified, repair or replace wire harness or connector.

  1. E119977E01
    Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the (-) lead to terminal 18.

  1. Check that the personal light comes on.

    OK:
    Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    LH side personal light ON
    		 LH side personal light comes ON
    LH side personal light OFF
    		 LH side personal light does not come ON
    RH side personal light ON
    		 RH side personal light comes ON
    RH side personal light OFF
    		 RH side personal light does not come ON

    If the result is not as specified, replace the overhead J/B assembly.
