INSPECT SCUFF PLATE LIGHT

  1. E119975E01
    Disconnect the connector from the scuff plate light.

  1. Measure the voltage of the connector.

    Standard voltage:
    LH Side: 
    Tester Connection
    		 Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    Q8-2 (+) - Q8-1 (-)
    		 Any door is opened
    		 10 to 14 V
    Q8-2 (+) - Q8-1 (-)
    		 All doors are closed
    		 Below 1 V
    RH Side: 
    Tester Connection
    		 Condition
    		 Specified Condition
    P2-2 (+) - P2-1 (-)
    		 Any door is opened
    		 10 to 14 V
    P2-2 (+) - P2-1 (-)
    		 All doors are closed
    		 Below 1 V

    If the result is not as specified, repair or replace wire harness or connector.

  1. E119974E01
    Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 1.

  1. Check that the scuff plate light comes on.

    OK:
    Comes on

    If the result is not as specified, replace the scuff plate.
