DTC    P0443    Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit

для подготовки Нажмите здесь

DESCRIPTION

To reduce HC emissions, evaporated fuel from the fuel tank is routed through the canister to the intake manifold for combustion in the cylinders.
The ECM changes the duty signal to the purge VSV so that the intake quantity of HC emissions is appropriate for the driving conditions (engine load, engine speed, vehicle speed, etc.) after the engine is warmed up.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

УКАЗАНИЕ:
Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester. Freeze frame data records the engine conditions when a malfunction is detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was running or stopped, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was LEAN or RICH, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (PURGE VSV)
A140697E01
  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the purge VSV.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the tester ON.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Activate the VSV for EVAP Control. Press the right or left button.

  1. Check if air is sucked into the port when operating the purge VSV using the intelligent tester.

    Standard:
    Tester Operation
    Specified Condition
    VSV is ON
    Suction of air
    VSV is OFF
    No suction of air

OK

2.CHECK ECM (PRG VOLTAGE)
A148848E08
  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Switch Condition
    Specified Condition
    E1-17 (PRG) - E3-1 (E1)
    Engine switch on (IG)
    11 to 14 V

OK

3.INSPECT PURGE VSV (OPERATION OF PURGE VSV)
  1. Inspect the purge VSV (see page Нажмите здесь).

NG
REPLACE PURGE VSV (Нажмите здесь)
OK

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - PURGE VSV)
A148849E01
  1. Disconnect the purge VSV connector.

  1. Disconnect the E1 ECM connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    E44-1 (purge VSV) - E1-17 (PRG)
    Always
    Below 1 Ω
E44-1 (purge VSV) or E1-17 (PRG) - Body ground
    Always
    10 kΩ or higher

NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK

5.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EFI FUSE - PURGE VSV)
A153047E01
  1. Remove the EFI fuse from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

  1. Disconnect the VSV connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
E44-2 (purge VSV) or relay block EFI fuse terminal 2 - Body ground
    Always
    10 kΩ or higher
E44-2 (purge VSV) - Relay block EFI fuse terminal 2
    Always
    Below 1 Ω

NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK
