INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the park/neutral position switch to the manual valve shaft.
(b) Temporarily install the bolt.
(c) Install a new lock washer and the nut.
Torque:
7.0 N·m {71 kgf·cm, 62in·lbf}

(d) Turn the control shaft fully rearward, and return the control shaft lever 2 notches to the N position. |

(e) Align the neutral basic line with the switch groove, and tighten the bolt. Torque: 13 N·m {130 kgf·cm, 9ft·lbf} |
|
(f) Using a screwdriver, bend the tabs of the lock washer.
2. CONNECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH CONNECTOR
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
5. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION
6. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION
7. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
