INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)

(a) Install a new O-ring to the oil control valve.

(b) Apply light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.

(c) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

Torque:

7.5 N·m {76 kgf·cm, 66in·lbf}

(d) Connect the oil control valve connector.

2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)

(a) Install a new O-ring to the oil control valve.

(b) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

Torque:

7.5 N·m {76 kgf·cm, 66in·lbf}

(c) Connect the oil control valve connector.

3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE

(a) Install the intake air connector pipe with the 2 clamp bolts and 2 bolts.

Torque:

5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44in·lbf}

(b) Connect the 3 hoses.

4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the V-bank cover with the 2 nuts and 2 bolts.

Torque:

7.5 N·m {76 kgf·cm, 66in·lbf}

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION .

NOTICE:

Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
