DESCRIPTION
The center airbag sensor connector has a mechanism that electrically detects half-connection. Supervising voltage in the center airbag sensor circuit detects half-connection.
DTC B1135/24 is recorded when the center airbag sensor detects an open in the electrical connection check mechanism of the airbag sensor connector or in the airbag sensor circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE

1. |
CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR |
(a) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
(b) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Check the connection of the center airbag sensor connectors.
OK:
The connectors are connected.
HINT:
When the connectors are not firmly connected, disconnect them once and reconnect them securely.

CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY |
|
(a) Connect the connectors to the center airbag sensor. |
|
(b) Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(d)
Clear the DTC stored in memory

(e) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 10 seconds.
(f) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 10 seconds.

DTC B1135/24 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than code B1135/24 may be output at this time, but they are not relevant to this check.

PERFORM VISUAL CHECK OF DISCONNECTION DETECTION PIN |
|
(a) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds. (b) Disconnect the center airbag sensor connectors. (c) Perform visual check of disconnection detection pin. OK: No deformation is identified. HINT: Compare it with the other 2 connector pins. |
