DESCRIPTION

The tire pressure warning select switch has 2 positions: "MAIN" and "2nd". 2 kinds of ID (2 types of tires) for the tire pressure monitor valve sub-assembly can be registered to the tire pressure monitor ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

Start the inspection from step *1 when using the intelligent tester, and from step *2 when not using the intelligent tester.

PROCEDURE

1.

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER*1

(a) Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Select the item below in the DATA LIST, and read its value displayed on the intelligent tester.

(a) Remove the select switch.

(b) Measure the resistance of the switch.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SELECT SWITCH - ECU)

(a) Disconnect the T35 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the T38 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:
