The air inlet damper control servo motor is controlled by the A/C amplifier and moves the air inlet damper to the desired position.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

PERFORM ACTUATOR CHECK

(a) Warm up the engine.

(b) Set the actuator check mode 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM: ACTUATOR CHECK .

(c) Press the DEF switch and change it to step operation.

(d) Press the DEF switch and check the operation of the air inlet damper and the condition of the blower.

CHECK AIR INLET DAMPER CONTROL SERVO MOTOR

(a) Remove the air inlet servo motor.

(b) Connect positive (+) lead to terminal 5 (MREC) and negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (MFRS), and check the air inlet damper control servo motor.

OK:

The lever moves smoothly to REC position.

(c) Connect positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (MFRS) and negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (MREC), and check the air inlet damper control servo motor.

OK:

The lever moves smoothly to FRS position.
