INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HEATER UNIT

(a) Install the heater unit with the 4 nuts.

(b) Connect the connector.

(c) Install the lower defroster nozzle.

2. INSTALL FRONT COOLING UNIT

3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL AND REINFORCEMENT

4. CONNECT WATER HOSE

(a) Connect the water hoses to the heater radiator pipes and attach the clips.

HINT:

  • Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe to the second ridge on the pipe.
  • Install a hose clip in the position as shown in the illustration.

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION .

NOTICE:

Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; 2UZ-FE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT+

9. WARM UP ENGINE 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; AIR CONDITIONING: REFRIGERANT: REPLACEMENT+

10. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; 2UZ-FE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT+
