DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 headrests.

2. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the seatback board as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the screw and reclining adjuster release handle.

4. REMOVE NO. 1 RECLINING COVER

(a) Remove the 4 hog rings and open the seatback cover.

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, refer to the following item.

When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

(b) Remove the 2 corner pads.

(c) Remove the 2 screws and 2 No. 1 reclining covers as shown in the illustration.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and seat cushion under cover.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER RH

(a) Remove the screws and seat cushion under cover.

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the hooks as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the 10 screws and seat cushion under cover sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE NO. 1 FOLD SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE

(a) Remove the 2 clamps and No. 1 fold seat lock control cable as shown in the illustration.

9. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT LEG STAY RH

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 E-rings and No. 1 seat leg stay.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK RH

(a) Remove the screw and rear seat lock cover.

(b) Remove the bolt, seat belt anchor and inner belt.

Torque:

42 N·m {430 kgf·cm, 31ft·lbf}

(c) Remove the rear seat lock RH.

11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 screws and seat belt reclining detecting part.

Torque:

3.9 N·m {40 kgf·cm, 35in·lbf}

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following items.

  • Tighten the 2 screws on the seatback side.
  • Fold down the seatback forward and raise it up to the first lock position.
  • Push the the part shown in the illustration of the seat belt reclining detecting part on the cushion side to the rear side of the seat cushion for initial positioning.
  • Visually check that the reference holes are penetrated.
  • Tighten the screws on the cushion side of the seat belt reclining detecting part.

(b) Loosen the nut and remove the reclining connecting wire of LH side edge.

(c) Remove the reclining connecting wire of RH side edge.

(d) Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

Torque:

42 N·m {430 kgf·cm, 31ft·lbf}

12. REMOVE REAR SEAT ARMREST

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and armrest.

(b) Remove the 2 screws and 2 hinge covers.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and hinges.

13. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the 4 headrest supports.

(c) Detach the hooks and then remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.

(d) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, refer to the following item.

  • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

14. REMOVE REAR SEAT ADJUSTER CONTROL CABLE

15. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear seat shoulder belt guide.

Torque:

42 N·m {430 kgf·cm, 31ft·lbf}

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, refer to the following item.

Install the shoulder belt guide to the seatback frame with the slit of the guide facing to the rear side of the vehicle.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and rear No. 1 seat outer belt.

Torque:

42 N·m {430 kgf·cm, 31ft·lbf}

16. REMOVE NO. 1 PROTECTOR

17. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover with pad from the seat cushion frame.

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, refer to the following item.

When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

(b) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.

HINT:

At the time of reassembly, refer to the following item.

When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

18. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER OUTER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear No. 1 seat adjuster outer.

Torque:

42 N·m {430 kgf·cm, 31ft·lbf}

(b) Remove the hinge cover from the seat adjuster.

19. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER INNER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear No. 1 seat adjuster outer.

Torque:

42 N·m {430 kgf·cm, 31ft·lbf}

(b) Remove the hinge cover from the seat adjuster.

20. REMOVE REAR SEAT STAY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear seat stay.

21. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT LEG STAY LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 E-rings and seat leg stay.

22. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE

(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 E-rings.

(b) Remove the 2 hinge pins, 2 cushion spacers, 2 cushion support springs and 2 rear seat cushion hinges.

23. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK LH

(a) Unfasten the bolt, and then remove the inner belt and rear seat lock LH.
