Night View Display Cover Opens with Night View Switch but Immediately Closes

DESCRIPTION

The display cover assembly of the night view display has a limit switch built-in, which detects its open-close condition.

The display cover assembly does not work properly if the limit switch malfunctions.

NOTICE:

Do not apply grease to the sliding parts of the display cover.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK NIGHT VIEW DISPLAY (MS2 VOLTAGE)

(a) Remove the combination meter assembly.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(c) Switch to inspection mode 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: NIGHT VIEW SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK .

(d) Measure the voltage between terminal MS2 (open limit signal of display cover) of the night view display connector "J" and body ground.

(Terminals of ECU: 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: NIGHT VIEW SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU )

Standard voltage:

Below 1 V

(When the display cover is fully open)

REPLACE DISPLAY COVER ASSEMBLY

CHECK NIGHT VIEW ECU (MS2 VOLTAGE)

(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(b) Switch to inspection mode 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: NIGHT VIEW SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK .

(c) Measure the voltage between terminal MS2 (open limit signal of display cover) of the night view ECU connector "C" and body ground.
