Speaker Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is used when the voice guidance in the navigation system is on.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the F9 speaker connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the speaker.

Standard resistance:

Tester Connection

Specified Condition

1 - 2

Standard models: Approx. 2 Ω

NOTICE:

The speaker should not be removed for checking.

REPLACE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

OK

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER LH - NAVIGATION ECU AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the F9 speaker connector.

(b) Disconnect the N2 ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

Tester Connection

Specified Condition

F9-1 - N2-2 (AUO+)

Below 1 Ω

F9-2 - N2-11 (AUO-)

Below 1 Ω

F9-1 - Body ground

10 kΩ or higher

F9-2 - Body ground

10 kΩ or higher

NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NAVIGATION ECU - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the N2 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the S18 amplifier connector.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:

Tester Connection

Specified Condition

N2-10 (AUI-) - S18-9 (FL-)

Below 1 Ω

N2-1 (AUI+) - S18-2 (FL+)

Below 1 Ω

N2-10 (AUI-) - Body ground

10 kΩ or higher

N2-1 (AUI+) - Body ground

10 kΩ or higher

4.

INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between the terminals according to the conditions, shown in the chart.

OK:
