INSTALLATION

HINT:

When installing the spoiler, heat the vehicle body and spoiler using a heat light.

Standard heating temperature:

NOTICE:

Do not heat the body and spoiler excessively.

1. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE

(a) Install the garnish with the 2 nuts.

(b) Install the 2 hole plugs.

2. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the light with the screws.

3. INSTALL REAR SPOILER

(a) Clean the vehicle body surface.

(1) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

(2) Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(b) If reusing the spoiler:

Clean the spoiler.

(1) Using a heat light, heat the spoiler.

(2) Remove the double-sided tape from the spoiler.

(3) Remove the 3 protectors.

(4) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(c) Install the spoiler.

(1) Cut new double-sided tape with a thickness of 2.4 mm (0.094 in.) to a size equivalent to the tips of the installation side of the spoiler, as shown in the illustration, and apply the tape.

(2) Install the 3 protectors as shown in the illustration.

(3) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and spoiler.

(4) Remove the peeling paper from the face of the spoiler.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

(d) Connector the center stop light connector.

(e) Slide the spoiler in the direction of the arrow and attach the 2 clips.

(f) Install the spoiler with the 2 bolts. Torque: 5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44in·lbf}

(g) Install the 2 rear spoiler covers.
