Jam Protection Pulse Switch Circuit on Driver Door

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when failure of the jam protection pulse switch circuit is detected. The jam protection pulse switch is built into the power window regulator motor assembly. This switch is OFF when the window stays between the fully closed position and 4 mm (0.16 in) below the full closed position and the power window regulator master switch reads this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

When using the intelligent tester, start from *1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from *2.

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK FOR DTC *1

(a) Delete the DTC .

(b) Recheck for the DTC when the power window is lowered from the fully closed position to half opened position.

OK:

DTC B1232 is not output.

NO PROBLEM (IT IS SUSPECTED THAT DTC WAS DETECTED BY ECU WITH ANY FAILURE IN PAST)

2.	INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (JAM PROTECTION PULSE SWITCH) *2

(a) Refer to motor inspection .

REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

3.	CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - JAM PROTECTION PULSE SWITCH)

(a) Refer to inspection .

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
