DISPOSAL

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

1. DISPOSE OF HOOD SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the hood support 2006 MY LX470 [05/2005 -        ]; ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD SUPPORT: REMOVAL .

(b) Horizontally fix the support in a vise with the piston-rod pulled out.

(c) Using a metal saw or equivalent, gradually cut any area between A and B to release the gas.

CAUTION:

As metal debris may be blown outward by the gas, you must:

  • Wear protective glasses.
  • Cover the area being cut.

NOTICE:

The gas is colorless, odorless and harmless.
